Kristina is a psychotherapist registered as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. Kristina received her Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology at California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). Prior to joining the clinical staff at the OCD Center of Los Angeles, Kristina was a therapist at The Center for the Obsessive Mind where she specialized in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders. Kristina also has a trauma-informed approach and started her career as a trainee at the Long Beach Trauma Recovery Center. While there, Kristina focused on evidence-based treatments including Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
Kristina’s work at the OCD Center of Los Angeles focuses on additional evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to support those with all forms of anxiety and OCD. She is also trained in treating all “Pure O” variants of OCD such as Harm OCD, Relationship OCD, Existential OCD, etc., in addition to Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs). Kristina has a special interest in understanding the connection between trauma and OCD and thus, treating OCD and comorbid PTSD.
